Jennifer Aniston may have recieved so much attention when she joined Instagram earlier this month that she briefly broke the platform, but now her former "Friends" costar Courtney Cox is raising the stakes.

Cox posted two photos to Instagram on Friday showing her with former soccer star David Beckham on the set of "Modern Family"— and it seriously confused even her A-list friends.

The photos were accompanied by the background music from James Brown's "Celebrity Hot Tub" and the caption: "Too hot in the hot tub! #modernfamily."

The first showed her and Beckham, while in the second, "Modern Family" stars Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson pile in.

Stonestreet, who plays Cam on the show, commented on the post: "I liked it," while Ferguson, who plays Mitch, said: "Sorry I was so gassy."

However, other stars were quick to wonder what was going on in the photos.

Aniston commented: "Wait....WHAT'S HAPPENING?!!??" while atress Julianne Moore simply said: "What?????"

Meanwhile, Beckham posted his own photo showing him and Cox reading a script, captioned: "I met a new FRIEND today at work @courteneycoxofficial #modernfamily."

The post comes after Aniston made her Instagram debut with an epic selfie featuring her "Friends" costars on October 15, which she captioned: "And now we're Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM."

Viewers of "Good Morning America" were greeted by a surprising set of faces when they tuned in Monday morning.

Actresses Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon briefly took over anchoring duties in order to promote their new Apple TV Plus series, "The Morning Show," which follows the drama behind the scenes of a "GMA"-like show.

The co-stars — who also played sisters on the hit series "Friends"— previewed stories about Queen Elizabeth's right-hand woman and a new Prince autobiography before welcoming the show's real anchors, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, out onto the stage.

"So we can retire right?" Stephanopoulos said as he joined the pair at the desk. "We'll take the rest of the morning off, you guys take it away."

"George and I were back there saying, 'They're too good,'" Roberts added.

"We got you," Aniston responded. "You need a day off? We got you."

Later on, the two continued hosting duties, sharing stories about a funny dog video and parents who egged their child to wear a hot dog costume for his official school picture.

Jennifer Aniston crashed "Friends" superfan Charlie Puth's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" interview on Monday, and he completely lost his mind.

"I'm shaking from excitement," Puth said after DeGeneres pointed out that he was on the talk show on the same day as Aniston, who's known for her role as Rachel Green on the NBC sitcom. "I really hope there's a reunion."

After Puth said that he previously met "Friends" stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, but not Aniston or the other main stars, "The Morning Show" star walked out and hugged him.

"I'm dying right now," Puth said, before telling the actress that she could stick around for his interview, which she gladly did.

"Now I'm really comfortable," he added as Aniston perched on his seat. "This is good. You smell so good."

Puth went on to gush about Aniston, saying: "'This is phenomenal."

The 27-year-old "Attention" singer and DeGeneres also asked Aniston about the possibility of a "Friends" reboot.

"We would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is, so we're... We're working on something," the actress said.

Puth then offered to be in charge of the potential reboot's music as DeGeneres tried to persuade Aniston to revive the hit show.

"This is my new girlfriend," Puth jokingly said at the end of his interview, referring to Aniston.

In response, Aniston said: "This is such a fun day."

Back in September, Puth shared a photo of himself with Cox, Kudrow, and Judd Apatow. The image was also shared by Cox, who wrote: "Trying to play it cool with all this heat. #friends25."

On "The Ellen Show," Puth said that he "did this thing with Courteney and Lisa and they invited me over for pizza and Judd Apatow was there too. It was pretty cool."

Most recently, Puth was quizzed on his "Friends" knowledge by Cox in a video for Billboard. At the end, Cox told him that he "won in everyone's eyes," and she gave him the Geller Cup.

"I've had this by my bed since the show wrapped," Cox said.

Puth then cried as the actress awarded him with the trophy.

Jennifer Aniston confirms the 'Friends' cast is 'working on something,' but says it won't be a reboot

  • During the latest episode of her show, Ellen DeGeneres asked Jennifer Aniston if there are plans for a "Friends" reunion.
  • Aniston said there's no "reboot" in the works, but hinted at other possibilities.
  • "We'd love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is, so we're just trying – we're really working on something," Aniston said.
  • DeGeneres tried to get Aniston to say that it could be a movie, but the actress said she doesn't "want to lead people on."
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.

"Is there going to be a 'Friends' reunion?" Ellen DeGeneres, 61, asked Jennifer Aniston, 50, on the October 28 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Ellen brought out Jen as a surprise for "Friends" super-fan Charlie Puth, 27, and both she and he wanted to know if the long-teased reunion or reboot was actually going to happen.

While Jen shot down the idea of a "reboot" of the show, she did give this update: "We'd love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is, so we're just trying – we're really working on something."

Ellen, never one to let a guest get away without spilling the tea, pressed Jen for more info.

"We can safely say it's probably not a reboot – a movie, though?"

Jen stammered a bit, seemingly unaware of what she could say. Ellen brought up how Jen's first Instagram post was a "Friends" reunion selfie, but Ms. Aniston pleaded innocent.

"I don't want to lead people on … we did that because we miss each other and we all happen to be in the same part of the world."

"Nobody falls for that, Jen," Ellen said.

While Jen couldn't confirm a "Friends" reboot, reunion, or Original Netflix special, this segment confirmed that Charlie Puth is adorable. Before Jen came out, Charlie admitted that he had never met her before and that he was "shaking with excitement" to be on the same episode of "Ellen" as her.

After Ellen surprised Charlie by bringing her out, Jen got really comfortable with the "Marvin Gaye" singer. First, she teased taking him backstage for a more intimate one-on-one conversation. Then, she perched on the top of his chair and draped her arms around his shoulders.

"This is my new girlfriend," Charlie said at the end of the segment, which prompted Jen to say, "This is such a fun day."

It seems that there's always talk of a "Friends" revival, but the buzz reached a fever pitch when Jen joined Instagram. Her first post was a selfie along with Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc.

"Friends" fans, after seeing them all together, wanted an update on the beloved characters. Were Rachel and Ross still together? (Spoiler from Jen: "Well, we're on a break.") Will Rachel's sister Jill – aka Reese Witherspoon – make a surprise appearance? Will Brad Pitt pop by? So many questions!

  • Jennifer Aniston was once a "terrible waitress" just like her "Friends" character Rachel Green.
  • "I had slippery fingers, that was the problem," Aniston said during her first-ever appearance for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday.
  • The star, who's currently promoting her Apple TV+ show "The Morning Show," told Colbert she waitressed for just over two years at the now-closed Jackson Hole Hamburgers on the Upper West Side in New York City.

Jennifer Aniston admitted she was once a "terrible waitress" just like Rachel Green during her first few years acting in New York City.

In her first-ever appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Tuesday, the "Friends" actress said she used to work for the now-closed Jackson Hole Hamburgers on the Upper West Side.

"Did you work the Sunday brunches there? Because they're like the fall of Saigon. Like you can't believe how unbelievably crowded it is there!"Colbert asked.

"I know, the lines! I was a terrible waitress. I was a hostess and then they finally allowed me to be a waitress," Aniston replied.

Aniston said she also scored her first screen job playing a waitress in a Bob's Big Boy commercial.

"I had slippery fingers as a waitress was the problem," Aniston recalled of her time in the hospitality industry.

Colbert asked whether that meant she stole from customers. Aniston explained it was because she always dropped plates, tripped and "was very clutzy," proving she was born to play the similarly inept Central Perk waitress Rachel Green.

Rachel Green notoriously took long breaks during her shifts at The Central Perk.

Fans would remember Rachel messing up orders, taking long breaks to chat with friends and even admitting to sneezing in rude customers' muffins.

The star said to Colbert that she still acknowledges her roots, now truly "appreciating good service.

"And I always tip very very well because I know."

But despite calling herself a "terrible waitress" it seems Jackson Hole Hamburgers isn't too phased over her Aniston's former work ethic. On their website, they said she "will always be a proud member of the Jackson Hole family."

Elsewhere in the interview, Aniston, who famously broke Instagram after becoming the fastest person to hit 1 million followers, re-confirmed to Colbert that a "Friends" re-boot is in the works: "Something is happening."

Jennifer Aniston was unfairly told she got a 'Friends' trivia question about Rachel's trifle wrong when, in fact, she was 100% correct

Jennifer Aniston Graham Norton Show Friends

  • Jennifer Aniston was quizzed on "Friends" trivia by Ian McKellen during her recent appearance on "The Graham Norton Show."
  • When asked how Rachel ruined "the British trifle," Aniston said she "put beef in it."
  • "You didn't," McKellen said. "You put Shepherd's pie in it, and Shepherd's pie is not made with beef, it's made with lamb."
  • But on the episode of "Friends," Rachel specifically says she added "beef sauteed with peas and onions."
  • Even if Shepherd's pie is traditionally made with lamb, Aniston didn't get the question wrong.
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.

Jennifer Aniston was unjustly told she didn't get a detail right about the show that made her famous, "Friends."

She and Reese Witherspoon were guests on "The Graham Norton Show" as part of their press tour for a new Apple TV series called "The Morning Show." During the show, Norton had his other guest Ian McKellen quiz the two actresses with "Friends" trivia — and he unfairly told Aniston she had her facts wrong about Rachel's memorable Thanksgiving trifle.

"How did Rachel ruin the British trifle?" McKellan asked the group.

Aniston put her hand in the air first (so quickly she appeared to hurt her shoulder).

"I put beef in it," Aniston said. "Beef in the bottom — I layered beef into the trifle."

"You didn't," McKellen said, looking down at the trivia question card. "You put Shepherd's pie in it, and Shepherd's pie is not made with beef, it's made with lamb."

The audience applauded as McKellan looked pleased with himself for catching the slip-up.

"He's firm but fair," Norton said.

Aniston put her hands in the air in an "OK" gesture, but didn't defend the answer she had given, which was completely correct.

On "Friends," season six, episode nine, "The One Where Ross Got High," Rachel was tasked with making dessert for Thanksgiving. She mistakenly added beef to a layered trifle.

"First there's a layer of lady fingers," Rachel says. "Then a layer of jam, then custard — which I made from scratch — then raspberries, more lady fingers, then beef sauteed with peas and onions, more custard, and then bananas, and then I just put some whipped cream on top."

You can watch a video of the scene below.

When Ross and Joey take a closer look at the recipe book, they notice the pages for "Shepherd's pie" and "English trifle" are stuck together, which led to Rachel thinking it was the same recipe.

So while McKellen may be correct that a Shepherd's pie is traditionally made with lamb and not beef — Aniston was also correct to say Rachel added beef to a trifle on "Friends."

McKellen, and other British foodies, will have to take up their complaint with the writer of that particular "Friends" episode, Gregory S. Malins.

In the meantime, "Friends" fans can rally around Aniston and her very accurate memory of Rachel's disastrous trifle. If you want to see how gross the beef trifle would be if you recreated it, watch YouTuber Binging with Babish make the Thanksgiving dessert here.

Jennifer Aniston says she joined Instagram 'mainly to promote' her new Apple TV series (FB)

Jennifer Aniston has revealed that her decision to join Instagram was largely a strategic move to promote and build excitement ahead of her new Apple TV show.

Aniston is starring alongside Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell in a series called "The Morning Show," which debuted November 1 exclusively on Apple's new subscription streaming service, Apple TV Plus. Aniston and Witherspoon recently sat down for an interview with The Guardian, during which Aniston said that she joined Instagram "mainly" to promote the new Apple TV show.

Additionally, Aniston said that part of her reasoning for getting on Instagram was to gain some more control over which parts of her life are made public, and what aspects are kept personal.

"People are already in my panty drawers all the time," Aniston told the Guardian. "And I want them out of my panty drawers. But now I can decide which pair to show them."

Aniston debuted her Instagram account on October 15, and her first post was a selfie alongside her "Friends" costars. Almost immediately, news of Aniston's Instagram debut led to an influx of followers, likes, and comments — which led to technical problems and made it difficult for some users to follow Aniston's account. The actress also quickly set a Guinness World Record by hitting 1 million followers in just five hours and 16 minutes.

Although Aniston only publicly joined Instagram last month, the "Friends" star later revealed after that she had been lurking on the platform for a while now, thanks to a secret "stalker account" she created.

"When I was thinking about doing [Instagram], I figured it was time to understand the world and dip my toe into the social-media pool," Aniston told Jimmy Kimmel on his late night show.

Aniston has also said she's already taking measures to ensure she's doesn't become "addicted" to the app.

"I decided to get two phones," the actress told the Los Angeles Times. "So one sits in my office and when that [Instagramming] has to happen, I'll commit to that."

13 celebrities who say they've been pressured to lose weight in order to succeed in Hollywood

  • Many celebrities have spoken about the pressure they've been under to lose weight and look a certain way while working in the entertainment industry.
  • "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner said that therapy helped her cope with constant scrutiny she faced from TV studios regarding her weight.
  • Actor Sam Claflin said even though women have it worse, men are often put under a lot of pressure to lose weight, too.
  • "Glee" star Amber Riley said that unrealistic body expectations have made Hollywood "a very hard place to be in."
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.

Celebrities are often pressured to change how they look, and many big-names in Hollywood have opened up about how hurtful and damaging this can be.

From actors to models, here are stars who have opened up about being pressured to lose weight in order to succeed in their career.

Jennifer Lawrence said she was once told to lose 15 pounds in two weeks.

In 2017 at Elle's Women in Hollywood event, Jennifer Lawrence spoke out about the "humiliating" and "degrading" ways the film industry approaches body image.

"When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks," she said. "During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much thinner than me."

"We all stood side-by-side with only tape on covering our privates … the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet," she added.

She went on to say that the experience made her feel "trapped" and that she now continuously reminds herself that she deserves to be treated with respect.

Amber Riley said that unrealistic body expectations have made Hollywood "a very hard place to be in."

On an emotional episode of the 2012 MTV series "This Is How I Made It," actress Amber Riley explained that many industry professionals have told her she needed to "lose a little weight."

She added that many of the roles she has been offered were based on harmful, negative stereotypes related to her size, like "the girl who wanted to commit suicide 'cause she was fat" or the girl who sits and eats all day.

And for the "Glee" star, these situations and expectations have made Hollywood "a very hard place to be in" and she has never understood why casting directors can't just accept her for who she is.

Richard Madden said women aren't the only ones who are told to lose weight in Hollywood.

In an interview with British Vogue, "Game of Thrones" star Richard Madden said he has had his "fat rolls" pinched and has been put in corset-like costumes because studios wanted him to look slim.

"I've done numerous jobs where you're told to lose weight and get to the gym," Madden told the publication. "It doesn't just happen to women, it happens to men all the time as well."

He acknowledged that trying to look thin on TV and in films projects "a very unrealistic body image," but admitted that he and other actors continue to do it anyway.

Amber Tamblyn said her agent didn't believe she'd become a star unless she lost weight.

Shortly after her success in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" series, actress Amber Tamblyn said her agent told her she could only be a star if she lost some weight.

"I think at that point I was 128 pounds and I'm 5'7". I remember my agent saying to me ... 'You have a real choice here. You can either be Nicole Kidman or you can be a character actress,'" Tamblyn recalled in a conversation with the New York Times.

She said the experience shaped her sense of self-worth for years and made her feel "violated," like she had to look a specific way or she was doomed for failure.

Sam Claflin said male actors are put under a lot of pressure to lose weight but it is "never talked about."

In 2017, actor Sam Claflin told The Sydney Morning Herald that he has really struggled with body image and self-confidence while working in the film industry.

"I remember doing one job when they literally made me pull my shirt up and were grabbing my fat and going, 'You need to lose a bit of weight.' This other time they were slapping me. I felt like a piece of meat," Claflin said.

"I'm not saying it's anywhere near as bad as what women go through but I, as an actor approaching each job, am insecure — especially when I have to take my top off in it ... I get really worked up to the point where I spend hours and hours in the gym and not eating for weeks to achieve what I think they're going for," he added.

He went on to say that this pressure to be muscular and trim presents an unrealistic body image that's "anything but normal."

Jennifer Lopez said people tried to pressure her early on in her career.

In 2018, Jennifer Lopez told InStyle that, early in her career, a lot of people in the industry told her she should lose weight. But instead of trying to change her appearance, she embraced her body type.

"They didn't bother me at all but I got a lot of flak for it from people in the industry. They'd say, 'You should lose a few pounds,' or 'You should do this or do that.' It finally got to the point that I was like, 'This is who I am. I'm shaped like this,'"Lopez told the publication.

"Everybody I grew up with looked like that, and they were all beautiful to me. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I still don't," she added.

Amy Schumer said she was once told to lose weight just to star in a film she had written.

Although she had a lot of creative control over her 2015 film "Trainwreck," Amy Schumer still had to deal with people telling her to lose weight for the lead role.

In an interview on "The Jonathan Ross Show," Schumer jokingly described the experience by saying, " ... It was explained to me before I did that movie that if you weigh over 140 pounds as a woman in Hollywood, if you're on the screen it will hurt people's eyes."

"So I lost some weight to do that, but never again," she added.

Supermodel Tyra Banks said she was once called "too big" to be on the runway.

Tyra Banks previously told Business Insider that she's faced a lot of difficulties related to body image and unrealistic weight expectations while working in the modeling industry.

In an interview, she recalled that when she a young model at the height of her high-fashion career, designers at Milan Fashion Week called her "too big."

"'Her butt is getting too big and you need to go tell her to lose some weight,'" they told her mother Carolyn London, per Banks. She said she also got a list of designers who no longer wanted to work with her.

"I started crying and I was like, 'Mom, OK, what do I do. Should I diet? Should I work out twice a day? Should I just have salads for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?'" she told Business Insider.

But Banks recalled her mom shutting down those ideas immediately, saying she'd "be damned" if her child "starved" for the modeling industry.

As an actress, Ashley Benson said she was often told she should lose weight.

In a 2016 interview with Health magazine, the "Pretty Little Liars" actress said that throughout her career she's been told to lose weight "all the time."

"I got that a month ago," Benson said. "It's just weird. With my stuff recently, it's been, 'You have to be skin and bones or you're not getting it.'"

She told the publication that she is still working on feeling confident in her body, but that she believes all sizes are healthy.

Ashley Graham said an agent and her dad both suggested she lose weight in order to be a model.

In 2017, Ashley Graham told the Las Vegas Review Journal that she has always experienced fat-shaming and bullying — but she didn't realize how much this pressure to be thin impacted her until she began pursuing a modeling career.

In the interview, she looked back on a time when a talent agent at a mall suggested she lose some weight so she could become a model.

"The really hard moment was when my dad said, 'Honey, if an agent is telling you to lose weight, then maybe you should lose weight.' I was 15, standing in our living room having a moment I will never forget. I never had a parent tell me to lose weight and it hurt," she recalled.

But Graham said she doesn't blame her father for his words — she blames the modeling industry's unrealistic standards.

"He was thinking like a businessman," she said. "It's not that my father didn't love me. He wanted me to succeed."

Jennifer Aniston said her agent once told her she was "too heavy" to get acting jobs.

In a 1996 interview with Rolling Stone, Jennifer Aniston said it was her agent who told her that she needed to slim down in order to make it in Hollywood.

"My agent gave it to me straight," she said. "The disgusting thing of Hollywood [is] I wasn't getting lots of jobs 'cause I was too heavy."

Aniston went on to lose 30 pounds before auditioning for "Friends," adding that she doesn't think she would have gotten cast as Rachel if she hadn't lost the weight.

David Harbour said he was told by a director that he was "too fat" to play The Blob.

In a 2017 interview with The Wrap, David Harbour said he got an audition to play the character The Blob in an upcoming "Wolverine" film after a casting director said he was perfect for the "big,""fat" character.

"I was like 'Okay, wow, that's flattering,'"Harbour jokingly recalled. "And [the casting director] was like, 'No, no, it's not that you're fat, it's just that we need a big guy to wear the suit.'"

Harbour went to the audition anyway and jokingly showed his stomach to the director saying, "I've got your Blob right here."

After the audition, Harbour said the director expressed "concerns" about his weight.

"He was like, 'David, look, you're wonderful, we really think you're just a great actor, we're just concerned … we're really concerned … it's just, you lifted up your shirt and ... we're just a little worried about your health,'" Harbour told The Wrap. "I was like, 'Wait a minute. You are telling me I'm too fat to play The Blob?'"

Sophie Turner said that therapy helped her cope with the constant scrutiny she faced from TV studios.

Sophie Turner told Marie Claire Australia that when she gained weight while filming "Game of Thrones," TV studios put pressure on her to lose those extra pounds.

"My metabolism suddenly decided to fall to the depths of the ocean and I started to get spotty and gain weight, and all of this was happening to me on camera," she recalled, adding that going to therapy helped her cope with the pressures she was facing.

"People are constantly telling you you're not good enough and you don't look good enough,"Turner said. "I think it's necessary to have someone to talk to and to help you through that."

And the "Friends" references didn't stop there, with their costars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow also commenting on the joyous "Mondler" reunion.

"MATTY!! I LOVE YOU GUYS," Aniston wrote, while Kudrow said: "Lucky lucky. #beautifulpeople."

Fans on Instagram commented on how the TV couple had changed since 2004.

"So sad seeing them get older," one comment said, while another, more positively, wrote: "Mr and Mrs Bing looking hotter than ever."

Others used the opportunity to post their own "Friends" throwback images to Twitter.

The latest catch-up is just another piece of the puzzle regarding the possibility of a "Friends" TV reunion following Aniston's Instagram-breaking image of the six "Friends" together.

"KUMA had a rough day…" wrote Justin Theroux at the start of his Nov. 7 Instagram post. The "Lady and the Tramp" star shared a picture of his adorable pooch, the aforementioned KUMA, while telling a heart-wrenching story about some dogs in need. Justin pleaded with his followers to come to rescue some of these dogs that were up for adoption, while tagging his ex-wife (and Instagram's newest sensation) Jennifer Aniston, 50, as well as his friend, Selena Gomez, 26. • "Friends" actress Jennifer Aniston thanked fans of the iconic sitcom for believing in the show's "impossibly large apartments" at the People's Choice Awards Sunday night.
  • "You believed in us, you really did, and you believed in those very impossibly large apartments," Aniston said to the audience at the awards show.
  • The actress was, of course, referencing the large, roomy apartments of "Friends" characters Monica, Rachel, Joey, and Chandler, who ostensibly lived in New York's West Village and didn't make a lot of money.
  • During her speech, Aniston also spoke about her return to television with Apple TV's "The Morning Show," and thanked her fans for their support throughout the years.

"Friends" star Jennifer Aniston thanked fans of the beloved sitcom for believing in the "impossibly large apartments" on the show during her acceptance speech at the People's Choice Awards Sunday night.

"You really did, and you believed in those very impossibly large apartments," the actress, who received the 2019 people's icon award, said to the audience.

"But you had to believe it, because we were telling our story," Aniston continued, adding, "['Friends'] paved the way for everything that I've had the chance to do since."

Aniston was, of course, referencing the famously large apartments on "Friends" (that have frequently been criticized for being unrealistic) during her speech.

Earlier in her speech, the star had nothing but love for her castmates on the iconic show.

"'Friends' was truly the gift of a lifetime and I would not be standing up here without that amazing show and those amazing five other actors — and with an audience who stuck with us for a decade," she said.

The star also spoke about her new series, "The Morning Show," and concluded her speech by thanking her fans.

"Thank you for being on this journey with me, and I just love you guys," the "Murder Mystery" actress said. "Thank you for sticking by me."

Other big winners of the night included Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, and Netflix's "Stranger Things."

Twins, Cali and Noelle Sheldon, who played Emma in

  • One of the twins who played Ross and Rachel's baby, Emma, in "Friends" has reaffirmed how "friendly" the cast really was.
  • Cali Sheldon spoke with Insider about her and sister Noelle Sheldon's time on the hit show in honor of its 25th anniversary.
  • "All of the cast were super nice to us — they treated us all like little princesses and when we had holidays and stuff, they'd give us little Christmas gifts," Cali said.
  • She even said Jennifer Aniston once had to practice parenting: "She had to like feed me because I was making way too many noises!"
  • She added that she'd be starstruck to see her TV mom again. "I'd probably be speechless," she said.
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.

Her character may have been featured in just eight episodes, but one of the twins who shared the role of Ross and Rachel's baby, Emma, in "Friends" says the cast always "treated us like little princesses."

Cali Sheldon, one half of Emma, told Insider that despite her and her sister Noelle being the youngest cast members on the sitcom (until Monica and Chandler's newborn twins arrived in the final episode), they were always well looked after.

The one where it all began.... #friends25 ❤️

A post shared by Cali Sheldon (@cali.sheldon) on Sep 22, 2019 at 9:29am PDT on

"All of the cast were super nice to us, they treated us all like little princesses and when we had holidays and stuff, they'd give us little Christmas gifts," she said.

Cali said the actresses, who celebrated their 17th birthdays in June, got their big break after their mom discovered a casting opportunity advertised online.

"Someone posted something on there about babies being really good for acting jobs and since we lived close to LA, my mom thought 'that would be kind of cool' and she looked into it, got us a manager I think, and then we got the jobs on 'Friends' shortly after."

Noelle and Cali Sheldon on

While Cali and Noelle were too young to remember their "really cool""Friends" stint, Cali said their parents had since filled them in on all the behind-the-scenes action.

Talking about the rest of the cast, Cali said: "Every time we were in a scene with them, we'd just laugh at all of the jokes even the ones that were inappropriate."

And sometimes, the "Friends" stars had to actually play the role of a parent.

"One scene when I was sitting on Jennifer Aniston's lap, she had to like feed me because I was making way too many noises, but I never threw up thank god!" Cali said.

Mom 🥰 (pt 2) #friends25

A post shared by Cali Sheldon (@cali.sheldon) on Sep 22, 2019 at 9:30am PDT on

Despite the cast members' occasionally needing to go that extra mile to ace a scene with the girls, Cali said they were always "really welcoming."

"My parents got to go to all the cast parties and the Christmas party and were always talking to the cast members ... They were just super nice and were just like normal people, not cocky or arrogant or anything," she said.

Cali said she and her sister were able to share the role of Emma fairly easily. While one twin enjoyed her nap time, it was the other's time to shine, which is perhaps why the show's producers were incentivized to cast another pair of twins.

Ross' son, Ben, was played by several child actors throughout the show's life span but most famously by Cole and Dylan Sprouse, who have each gone on to have lucrative acting careers on hit shows like "Riverdale."

dylan cole sprouse

Cali and Noelle have also dabbled in other screen work since "Friends," most recently with the horror film "Us" released earlier this year starring Lupita Nyong'o and Elisabeth Moss.

"'Us' was an awesome experience for us because we go to meet all really influential people and obviously you can actually really remember that, so it was cool to be on the set of a real movie," Cali said.

'It's kind of like the memories are preserved for us'

Since the girls have no memory working on "Friends," Cali said, she'd "probably be starstruck" to see her former TV parents, Aniston and David Schwimmer, again.

"I'd probably be speechless and not be able to say that much — I'd probably tell them, 'Oh, hi, I met you when I was a baby.'" she said.

Of Aniston, she said: "I think she's a really big inspiration to me and I've watched everything she's been in."

She added that it's cool to think she'd worked with her in the past — and that she'd love to work with her again.

Aniston and cast members have been hinting for weeks that "something is happening," fueling fan theories that a "Friends" reboot could be in the works.

And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM 👋🏻

A post shared by Jennifer Aniston (@jenniferaniston) on Oct 15, 2019 at 6:03am PDT on

However, Cali said: "I would love to reunite with the cast again and reprise my role as Emma, but unfortunately I don't think such a reunion is going to happen; the way they ended 'Friends' was so good, and I think the reunion they are planning is more of an unofficial one."

While playing Emma again may be off the cards, Cali said the twins were still proud they were part of such an iconic show which young people their age still watch and enjoy 25 years later.

"It's kind of cool to see something that we were in but can't really remember," she said, "so it's kind of like the memories are preserved for us."

34 of the best and most candid photos of the 'Friends' cast over the years

friends 150 episodes celebration 2000 (fact about pay increase)

  • It's been 25 years since "Friends" first hit television screens, yet the show still remains one of the most popular sitcoms in history.
  • A study last year revealed that it was the most binge-watched television show of 2018 with Netflix reportedly paying up to $100 million to stream it for another year.
  • To celebrate the milestone, Insider has rounded up some of the show's best and most candid pictures from on and off set.
  • Visit Insider's homepage for more stories.

Back in the early 90s, writers and producers David Crane and Marta Kauffman delivered a simple one-line pitch to NBC for a feelgood sitcom called "Friends."

"This show is about six people in their 20s who hang out at this coffee house," they wrote.

After the show got the green light, the director James Burrow had such a "good feeling" about it that he flew the six virtually unknown actors to Las Vegas for what would be their last public outing without being bombarded by paparazzi.

"I took them [the cast] to Vegas ... I had me and six of them and I said: 'This is your last shot at anonymity. Once the show comes on the air, you guys will never be able to go anywhere without being hounded,'"Burrow told The Hollywood Reporter back in 2016.

Burrows was right. Their faces have since been screened in households across all six continents, making it not only a cultural icon but one of the most highly syndicated shows in television history.

And even 15 years after its final episode in 2004, the enduring success of "Friends" shows no signs of slowing down.

A study last year revealed it was the most binge-watched television show of 2018 with Netflix reportedly paying up to $100 million to stream it for another year.

To mark the 25th anniversary, Insider has rounded up some of the best photos of the "Friends" cast either on set or out and about, ranked in chronological order.

1994: Jennifer Aniston revealed that initially, the girls were 'nervous' to work with Matt LeBlanc due to his modeling history (he used to model for Levis). 'He thinks it's very funny now. And actually, he can sit down and comfort me just like Courteney or Lisa could,' Aniston said.

1995: Coffee size does matter. The archetypal oversized mugs served at the gang's favorite cafe, Central Perk, became a cultural icon. Here's the cast showing them off at an NBC Press Tour party.

1995: Roommates Joey and Chandler were as thick as thieves throughout the series, often going on hilarious but miscalculated adventures together. But sadly according to E!, their real-life bond was 'never as close' as the lead actresses.

1995: The female characters on 'Friends' couldn't be more different but somehow their friendship clicked. The tight-knit trio still remain as close as ever with Cox sharing a "girls night" Instagram for her 55th birthday back in June.

1995: Marlo Thomas played Rachel's blunt and often flighty mom, Sandra Green, for just three episodes but somehow her character had a huge impact with viewers. In this episode, Sandra announced her divorce, much to the surprise of her daughter, and shared her envy for Rachel's independent lifestyle. Thomas later said she received mail from women worldwide who said her character strongly resonated with them.

1996: Joey's acting skills may have been debatable, but the struggling actor did end up scoring some pretty cool cameos throughout his career. Below sees him play Dr. Drake Ramoray, a character on a fictional version of 'Days of Our Lives.' Ironically the actor opposite him, Roark Critchlow, played a doctor on the real 'Days of Our Lives.'

1996: While 'Friends' is based in New York City, the show was actually filmed at Warner Brother Studios in Los Angeles, which made creating episodes like 'The One with the Football' particularly difficult. Meant to resemble a Greenwich Village park, set designers had to think on their feet after being told they couldn't film outside due to light and sound issues. They managed to pull it off by quickly creating a whole color model 'for the first time in the history of sitcoms.'

1997: While Ross and Rachel's relationship was a huge focal point of 'Friends,' viewers surprised the show's creators when neat freak Monica hooks up with unlucky in love Chandler. Originally, Monica was to end up with Joey but the response for Mondler was so strong, writers re-wrote scripts to keep the pair together.

1997: The 'Friends' supported each other off-screen as well as on it. Below, Aniston, Le Blanc, Perry and Schwimmer at the premiere of 'Scream 2,' in which Cox played a lead role.

1997: Almost 40 famous faces graced the screens of 'Friends' during its 10-year tenure, but the story behind Robin Williams and Billy Crystal's cameo might be the greatest. 1998: Cast members' girlfriends and boyfriends also made their own little cameos throughout the series, which enticed viewers to watch for on-screen chemistry. Supermodel Elle MacPhearson featured in five episodes as Joey's girlfriend Janine Lacroix and later said had she known the show would be such a hit, she would have 'chickened out.'

1998: David Schwimmer almost turned down the role of Ross. NBC said the character was specifically created with Schwimmer in mind but at the time the actor wanted to be in theater.

1999: Monica and Ross's New Years' dance dubbed 'The Routine' was choreographed by the founder of the Pussycat Dolls, Robin Antin. NBC called Antin to help create the routine, which took a week of rehearsals.

2000: 'Friends' hit many milestones but one that's for the history books includes their landmark group pay negotiation. Schwimmer suggested the mini-union where each case member demanded an equal pay rise or they'd walk out. By the end of the series, each cast member was earning $1 million per episode. A far cry from the $20,000 they began with.

2002: The girls share a moment of television triumph after winning an Emmy for 'Best Comedy Series.' Over the course of its run, 'Friends' was nominated an astounding 62 times, winning six. Notably, Aniston won 'Outstanding Lead Actress' despite being the last actor cast for the show.

Jennifer Aniston Wins People's Icon Award at People's Choice Awards on November 9, 2019

In her People's Icon acceptance speech at the People's Choice Awards on Sunday, Jennifer Aniston credited "Friends" with her career success.

"If I have any claim to this word 'icon,' it's only because I was able to be on an iconic show, with an iconic cast, and an iconic haircut," she said.

Now, it appears that iconic show may be making a long-anticipated return of sorts. Deadline reported on Tuesday that a "Friends" reunion special is currently in the works at HBO Max, the network's upcoming streaming platform.

Aniston separately made headlines when she joined Instagram on October 15 with a "Friends" reunion selfie and set a Guinness World Record for reaching one million followers in under six hours. But unlike most would-be influencers, Aniston likely won't be needing to cash in on Instagram ads and other #SponCon anytime soon.

In August, Forbes listed Aniston as the fifth highest-paid actress of the year, estimating that she made $28 million before taxes between June 2018 and June 2019 — and the potential "Friends" reunion special is likely to boost that number even higher next year.

Here's a look at how much Aniston made as a cast member on "Friends," what we know about her income post-show, and how she spends some of her fortune.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon october 2019

Reese Witherspoon says that she declined an offer to return to "Friends" as Jill Green because she was "too nervous" to film in front of a live studio audience.

"Did you know they asked me back and I said I can't do it? I was too scared," Witherspoon said during an interview with "The Morning Show" costar Jennifer Aniston for the Associated Press

In response, Aniston, who played older sister Rachel Green on NBC's "Friends," appeared surprised and jokingly said: "How dare. You got scared?"

Witherspoon went on to say that her nerves got the better of her and she finds shows with live audiences like NBC's "Saturday Night Live," which she hosted once in 2015, "terrifying."

The 43-year-old "Big Little Lies" star also praised Aniston for being "so good in front of a live audience." Witherspoon shared similar compliments during an interview with Natalie Portman for Harper's Bazaar

"She was so sweet to me,"Witherspoon said of meeting Aniston while playing her sibling for two episodes during season six of "Friends."

"I was really nervous, and she was like, 'Oh, my gosh — don't worry about it!'" Witherspoon added. "I marveled at her ability to perform in front of a live audience like that with no nerves. They would change all the lines and she was just so effortlessly affable, bubbly, and sunny. We've been friends ever since."

Keanu Reeves

Dutch artist Ard Gelinck has been posting photo edits online for about 10 years but told Insider he wanted to "challenge" himself by creating a series of celebrity "Then and Now" comparisons.

"The ideas suddenly came up and the celebrities that I choose are often random. Sometimes an extra when I know when it is someone's birthday, for example," he told Insider.

Showing some spellbinding Photoshopping skills, Gelinck said he spends between one and four hours editing each side-by-side, which varies depending on the color, lighting, tones, and scale of each individual image.

But the artist masterfully merges the two before-and-after comparisons to look as if each celebrity is meeting their younger self for the first time.

And he's even got the tick of approval from the sources of inspiration themselves.

Gelinck said he's been flattered to see Madonna, Ricky Gervais, Sylvester Stallone,Michael Douglas, and Lionel Richie, to name a few, reshare his work via their own Instagrams.

While the Dutch artist isn't interested in exhibiting or profiting from his images, he said he is "enjoying that I can create something that other people like.

"It's nice to see that you can entertain people and show something that makes them laugh and make them think."

Bebe Rexha famously called out designers who refused to dress her for the Grammys because she's a US size 8.

In January, the "Meant to Be" singer shared a video online, speaking out about designers who she said weren't interested in dressing her for the Grammys because of her size.

"If you don't like my fashion style or my music that's one thing," she captioned the video. "But don't say you can't dress someone that isn't a runway size. Empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less than by their size."

Rexha's words resonated with fans and followers and she was praised for speaking candidly.

Speaking to Insider, the singer said that she "was a little scared putting it out because a lot of times, you don't want to come off like this person that's always complaining,"

"I had to put the video out because I felt hurt, and I can't believe the positive response that I got," she added. "It was incredible."

Rexha went on to stun at the award show in a halter-style Monsoori red dress with multiple tiers of ruffles.

Nicole Kidman accidentally ignored Rami Malek while on stage at the Golden Globes.

At the 76th Golden Globes in January, Malek and the cast and crew of "Bohemian Rhapsody" went onstage to accept the award for best drama motion picture. Malek portrayed Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the biopic.

While navigating through the people on stage, the actor had a brief interaction with Kidman, who presented the award. During the quick exchange, Kidman seemed oblivious to Malek trying to get her attention.

Days later during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live,"the "Mr. Robot" star rewatched the "very awkward" viral moment and said: "I've known her for many years, despite as it may seem from that video."

"I have a feeling this is probably haunting me on the internet," he added.

While backstage at the Critics' Choice Awards, Kidman told "Entertainment Tonight" that they're "really good friends" and she was "mortified" by the blunder

Will Smith's blue Genie from the live-action 'Aladdin' movie was turned into a hilarious meme.

In February, Disney released a new trailer for the "Aladdin" live-action remake. When people saw the CGI version of Will Smith's blue genie, they expressed a lot of doubt about the design of the iconic character. A lot of people were also horrified by the appearance, despite being fans of the actor.

The blue genie went on to be turned into memes and Disney defended their take on the character's look. Smith also called the intense reactions "very funny."

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's steamy performance of "Shallow" at the Oscars has people convinced that they were in love, but it was just an act.

The two actors performed an emotional duet of their track from "A Star Is Born" on stage at the Academy Awards in February. Gaga and Cooper even got two standing ovations

"Shallow" ended up winning the award for best original song, and people had feelings about their intimate rendition of the track

Even though Cooper was in a relationship with model Irina Shayk at the time, that didn't stop fans from rallying for the costars to be a couple.

During an appearance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" shortly after the award show, the "Bad Romance" singer addressed their chemistry

"Yes, people saw love and guess what? That's what we wanted you to see," she said.

Gaga shared similar sentiments during an interview with Oprah Winfrey for Elle magazine.

"We wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars," she said. "We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance."

Chris Evans went viral for being chivalrous and jumping out of his seat to help Regina King to the stage after she won an Oscar for best supporting actress.

Evans, known for his role as Captain America/Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was seated next to King at the Academy Awards and noticed that her dress seemingly got caught when she stood up to accept an award for her performance in "If Beale Street Could Talk."

Evans went on to escort her to the stage and his action melted fans' hearts.

The Jonas Brothers returned with a new album, tour, and documentary after abruptly breaking up in 2013.

Fans rejoiced when the band, comprised of Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas, reunited in February and released a catchy new song called "Sucker" that reached the No. 1 spot on pop music charts.

Their accompanying music video for the track also gained plenty of attention for featuring all their partners: Priyanka Chopra (who wed Nick in December 2018), Sophie Turner (Joe's then fiancée and now wife), and Danielle Jonas (Kevin's wife since 2009).

They went on to release an eye-opening Amazon documentary called "Chasing Happiness," drop their fifth studio album titled "Happiness Begins," and embark on a tour.

Gemma Chan, Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Jameela Jamil all smuggled food into prestigious events to keep their hunger at bay.

It's no secret that celebrities get hungry at A-list events and award shows, which are typically two or more hours long.

"Crazy Rich Asians" star Gemma Chan wore a bright pink gown with pockets to the 2019 Oscars and filled the extra spaces with cookies and rice crackers.

"It's a long ceremony," she told "Entertainment Tonight."

At the 2019 Golden Globes, McCarthy smuggled in 40 ham and cheese sandwiches and gave them away to guests

"I've been handing them out to everyone," she told Variety. "Next year, I'm bringing hot dogs."

By the end of the night, McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone were left with two sandwiches."

At the Met Gala in May, Tiffany Haddish told People that she put home-cooked chicken inside her purse because there "wasn't enough food" at the event in 2018. When the actress appeared on "The Late Late Show With James Corden" the following month, she said that she handed some of the chicken to hungry designers, who rewarded her with free dresses

"The Good Place" star Jameela Jamil also packed string cheese into her clutch at the 2019 Emmys.

Kim Kardashian West made headlines when she revealed that she was studying to become a lawyer.

Even though Kardashian West played a role in President Donald Trump granting clemency to Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who was serving a life sentence for nonviolent drug offenses, in 2018, the reality TV star's decision to pursue law came as a surprise to many.

In a profile published by Vogue in April, Kardashian West revealed that helping Johnson get released from prison inspired her to study law. She also said that she's been apprenticing with a San Francisco-based law office since 2018, logging 18 hours a week of supervised study in hopes of taking the California bar exam in 2022.

Jason Momoa sent fans into a frenzy when he shaved off his beard for the first time in seven years.

In April, Momoa shared a video on his YouTube channel titled "Goodbye Drogo...I SHAVED!" In the video, the actor was seen shaving off pieces of his facial hair and explaining that he wanted to raise awareness about ways to be more environmentally friendly.

"I'm shaving this beast off, it's time to make a change," he wrote in the video's description. "A change for the better ... for my kids, for your kids, the world. Let's make a positive change for the health of our planet. Let's clean up our oceans and our land."

In the video, the "Aquaman" star also encouraged fans to cut down on plastic use by opting for aluminum products instead.

Keanu Reeves went viral for his random acts of kindness.

In March, Reeves garnered attention for going on a road trip with a bunch of stranded passengers after their flight had to make an emergency landing in Bakersfield, California. In videos shared on social media, the "John Wick" star was seen entertaining the other passengers with facts about Bakersfield along the way and playing music on his phone. He even took photos with fans.

That's not the only time he went viral for being a good guy. SB Nation writer James Dator also shared a heartwarming story about an encounter with Reeves when he was younger. Dator said that the "Matrix" star purchased an ice cream cone from the concessions stand just so he could autograph it for the fan.

Reeves also "jumped out of the car" on his way to the set of the upcoming "Bill & Ted" sequel so he could autograph a handmade sign that was left outside for him

Kylie Jenner was criticized for washing her face while seemingly wearing foundation in a viral video to promote her new skin care line.

In May, Jenner released a 35-second video in which she was seen washing her face with a $24 foaming face wash from her Kylie Skin line. In less than 10 seconds, the beauty mogul applied the product and rinsed it off. She also wiped her face with a white cloth, which appeared to show that she was wearing foundation the whole time.

People went on to criticize Jenner for washing her face so quickly, using a filter for the video, and wearing makeup.

No one could have predicted that "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson would land a role as Batman.

After playing vampire Edward Cullen in five "Twilight" movies, Pattinson stepped away from big studio films and avoided typecasting by seeking out unique roles. He starred in smaller films like "Good Time" and "High Life," so people probably weren't expecting him to jump back into a blockbuster film, let alone one about a superhero.

In late May, it was revealed that Pattinson officially signed on to play the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves' upcoming film "The Batman."

He'll star alongside Zöe Kravitz (who's playing Catwoman), Paul Dano (the Riddler), Jeffrey Wright (Jim Gordon), and Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth).

Jake Gyllenhaal had a hilarious response to a person who called Sean Paul "massively overrated."

In June, Gyllenhaal and "Spider-Man: Far From Home" costar Tom Holland appeared on a BBC Radio 1 segment called "Unpopular Opinion." When a fan called in and said that Paul — an artist known for tracks like "Temperature" and his collaboration with Sia called "Cheap Thrills"— is overhyped, Gyllenhaal stood up for the musician in a hilarious viral moment

"Sean Paul makes every song better he's in," the actor said. "There's not a song he's on and a remix he's on that isn't good. I totally disagree."

Gyllenhaal added that every time a song from Paul plays on the radio, "he makes driving fun."

"You can be stuck in traffic and he comes on and you want to dance," he said.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's dog became an internet sensation after wearing a tuxedo to their second wedding.

The singer and the "Game of Thrones" star first wed at a chapel in Las Vegas in May following the Billboard Music Awards, which the Jonas Brothers performed at.

In June, they had a more formal, elegant ceremony in France that was attended by friends and family. Their dog, an Alaskan Klee Kai named Porky Basquait, was the real star of the wedding, photographed wearing a small tuxedo and bow tie outside the venue

Kendall Jenner's take on the viral bottle cap challenge was met with criticism.

In July, the model put her own spin on the challenge, which involves removing a bottle cap with a kick. A video shared by Jenner showed her wearing a bikini and riding a jet ski in the middle of the ocean. After kicking the cap, it landed in the water.

Although Jenner's friends and famous followers applauded her move, others were outraged and accused the reality TV star of contributing to ocean pollution. Jenner went on to respond to the backlash, saying that the piece of plastic was "recovered."

Kardashian West changed the name of her shapewear line from "Kimono" to "SKIMS" after facing backlash.

In June, the reality TV star revealed her new Kimono Solutionwear collection, which is her "take on shapewear and solutions for women that actually work." Some people called one of the garments, a "solution short" designed to be worn with dresses and skirts that feature a slit, a game-changer, but others called out Kardashian West for naming her line after a traditional Japanese garment, which, according to London's Victoria and Albert Museum, has a rich cultural history that dates back to 1615.

Following accusations of cultural appropriation, Kardashian West said that she had "the best intentions in mind" and changed the name to SKIMS. New promotional images also showed a more diverse group of women in different body sizes, which is something that fans previously criticized the initial campaign for lacking.

People were astounded to learn that Robert Redford is the face of a famous meme that everyone thought was Zach Galifianakis.

An article and tweet from the publication Splinter seemed to have sparked the revelation on Twitter in July. After they tweeted a photo of Redford in the 1972 western film "Jeremiah Johnson," and said that he's the face behind the "nodding meme guy,"people were dumbfounded.

Many Twitter users admitted that for years, they assumed that the bearded lumberjack was "The Hangover" star Zach Galifianakis.

Harry Styles became a trending topic worldwide on Twitter after he was reportedly offered the role of Prince Eric in Disney's upcoming "Little Mermaid" remake and turned it down.

In July 2016, Variety reported that the former One Direction member was in talks to play the prince in a new live-action adaptation that will feature "Grown-ish" star Halle Bailey as Ariel.

The following month, the official accounts for AMC Theatres and Regal incorrectly tweeted, then deleted, posts stating that Styles accepted the part. However, the dreams of fans were crushed when The Wrap reported that the singer declined the offer.

Styles went on to tell Capital FM that he met with director Rob Marshall and said there were a few factors that played into his decision, like wanting to tour in 2020 and not being able to commit to a long film shoot.

Considering that the singer later revealed that his second album will drop on December 13 and he's touring next year, it makes sense that he couldn't sign on for the role.

Fans were distraught over the loss of Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when a deal between Disney and Sony fell through, but thankfully, peace was restored.

In August Deadline reported that Sony and Disney were unable to reach a financial agreement regarding Spider-Man. Disney reportedly asked for 50/50 cofinancing, which Sony turned down. As a result, the Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, wouldn't produce any future "Spider-Man" films and Tom Holland's webslinger wouldn't be able to appear in the MCU.

Holland's fans and costars expressed grief over the situation, and thousands signed a petition to keep the actor in the MCU

The following month, it was revealed that Sony Pictures and Marvel ended their feud and will be coproducing the upcoming third "Spider-Man" film, which hits theaters on July 16, 2021. Naturally, fans were overjoyed and Holland reacted to the good news by posting a scene from the 2013 movie "The Wolf of Wall Street," which showed Leonardo DiCaprio's character giving a speech about "not leaving."

People were disgusted after seeing a viral fan video of Kanye West appearing to eat his own earwax.

In September, Twitter user @j0rgecastr0 shared a video that appeared to show West digging into his lower ear with his finger and subsequently putting his finger (and any remaining earwax) into his mouth — and then kissing his wife, Kim Kardashian West, while at his Sunday Service gathering.

The video went on rack up more than 4 million views and people called the rapper "nasty." Others defended West, saying that perhaps he hadn't actually eaten earwax.

Keke Palmer's "sorry to this man" became the new "I don't know her."

In September, Vanity Fair released a video of the "Hustlers" star taking a lie detector test as part of the publication's popular segment.

During the questioning, Palmer was asked about her time on the Nickelodeon show "True Jackson, VP," in which she starred as the vice president at a fashion company. Then she was asked if her character "was a better VP than Dick Cheney" and was shown a photo of the political figure.

In response, the actress said: "I hate to say it. I hope I don't sound ridiculous. I don't know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street [and] I wouldn't know a thing. Sorry to this man."

Palmer's moment went viral and was turned into memes, similar to the way Mariah Carey's infamous comment about not knowing Jennifer Lopez became a pop culture staple. The actress even released official "sorry to this man" merchandise on her website

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello showed fans how they "really kiss" after they were accused of smooching like fish.

The "Senorita" collaborators have known each other for years and started dating over the summer. They packed on the PDA in public and decided to poke fun at themselves with an intentionally sloppy video shared on Instagram in September.

The video resulted in hilarious memes and caught the attention of celebrities like Justin Bieber

Jennifer Lopez shut down Milan Fashion Week by wearing a look similar to her iconic jungle Versace dress that led to the creation of Google image search nearly 20 years ago.

In September, Lopez closed out Versace's show by strutting down the runway in a dress nearly identical to the green one that she wore at the 2000 Grammys. The entertainer proved that two decades later, she could still pull off the daring outfit — and fans went wild.

People couldn't get enough of Reese Witherspoon's son teaching her to use TikTok.

In September, Witherspoon posted a video on Instagram that showed son Deacon Phillippe (from her previous marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe) answering all her burning questions about the popular app.

Phillippe went on to show Witherspoon how to perform different dances that are popular on the platform

The following month, the "Morning Show" star appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and showed the late night host how to "Hit the Woah," referring to a move in which people move their arms in a short, circular motion as a beat drops on a song.

Kylie Jenner singing "rise and shine" to daughter Stormi Webster instantly became a meme.

While giving fans a tour of her Kylie Cosmetics office for a YouTube video, Jenner was seen briefly saying, "rise and shine" to wake up her child from a nap.

The brief scene took off on social media, with many people joking about its "cultural impact" as others remixed it. Even stars like Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Cody Simpson joined in on the fun.

The reality TV star capitalized on the viral moment by releasing "rise and shine" merchandise. Jenner's products included two hoodies, one black and one white, with "riiise" and "shiiinnee" emblazoned on the sleeves. The hoodies also featured an image of Jenner's face as the sun and retailed for $65 each.

She also filed two trademark applications for "rise and shine."

Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram and broke the app.

The actress finally made her debut on the platform in October by posting an epic selfie with all her "Friends" costars. Word quickly spread about the actress being on Instagram and the app had a few technical issues as millions of people tried to follow her.

Aniston gained 1 million followers in just five hours and 16 minutes, setting a record recognized by the Guinness World Records for the fastest time for an Instagram account to reach that milestone. The record was previously held by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
