A Hotel Employee Claims He Was Fired For Complimenting Jennifer Aniston

A now ex-employee of a Santa Fe, N.M., resort claims that he was fired for complimenting Jennifer Aniston.

The shuttle bus driver told a group of guests that the 43-year-old celebrity was "very sweet and much more petite than I thought," reports TMZ, but when hotel management got wind of his praises, they fired him for allegedly violating the hotel's privacy policy regarding famous visitors.

Terry Siegler was shuttling guests at the Encantado Resort, where Aniston was staying during a shoot for her new film, "We're the Millers." The guests had allegedly just spotted Aniston at the hotel spa, and asked Siegler if he'd seen her too. He said yes, and offered up some kind words about the famous lovelorn, now love-struck, actress.

Back at the hotel, the guests discussed this conversation, Siegler told TMZ, and were overheard by a member of Aniston's entourage. The actress' buddy reportedly informed hotel management, which then fired Siegler from his $30,000-a-year job for violating a celebrity guest's privacy.

The general manager of the hotel told TMZ, "I cannot confirm anything about our employees, but I will say that we have a very strict confidentiality policy and we do enforce those policies."

Most businesses that commonly see high-profile guests have confidentiality agreements for their workers. In April, a Virgin Atlantic employee resigned following allegations that she routinely tipped off the booking details of the airline's celebrity clientele to paparazzi. But Siegler didn't dish on the star to a tabloid—he was simply responding to a question from a guest.

"They brought [Jennifer] up first...." he told TMZ. "Was I supposed to deny it?"

Siegler reportedly is considering a wrongful termination suit.

Producers On Jennifer Aniston's Movie Set Are Paying Locals $300 To Stay Away

Jennifer Aniston

Residents of Greenwich, Conn. shouldn't plan on cozying up to Jennifer Aniston despite her latest movie "Untitled Elmore Leonard Project" filming in the town.

“The production company has been paying all the neighbors $300, I guess as an inconvenience fee,” to stay away from set, local resident Leon Jaworoski revealed to Celebuzz.

“We had asked if we could take pictures for fun because they are shooting right in front of our homes, but they said absolutely not,” Jaworoski said. “At one point paparazzi were on our lawn, but the police chased them away and told them to wait in their cars or off the property.”

“It got pretty hectic here,” he added. “It took them several hours to set up a scene for only a few minutes of filming Jennifer on the street in the neighborhood.”

The film, an adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel "The Switch" also stars Isla Fisher, Tim Robbins, Mos Def and Will Forte.

Set for a 2014 release, the film is a comedy about two criminals who team up to kidnap the wife of a corrupt real estate developer -- but the plan clearly goes awry.

A set insider tells Celebuzz:

“Producers were upset that some locals were shouting out Jennifer’s name and using flash photography to try and get pictures of her. They also found out that some paparazzi had paid a local resident to use their property to shoot Jennifer on the set. So when they moved to more rural location, they wanted to try and work with the local residents to make sure nothing like that happened again.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the production confirmed and explained the payment of locals:

“Inconvenience fees are a common practice in the industry. Ours were paid to residents surrounding a shoot location so we could park equipment and trucks in their driveways or place lighting instruments and machinery on their property.”

But locals aren't the only ones who think Aniston is being cold on-set.

A film insider tells RadarOnline, "Jen’s private trailer is miles away from the set, but she heads all the way back there each day to eat her lunch away from everyone else ... all the actors ride in normal production vans when they head to lunch, but Jen has her own luxury SUV."

“Her behavior is a clear indicator to everyone that she’s not approachable,” added the source.

Brad Pitt Says Life With Angelina Jolie Is Way Better Than Being Married To Jennifer Aniston

Brad Pitt Esquire magazine

Brad Pitt may have spent seven years married to Jennifer Aniston, but he says since shacking up with Angelina Jolie, "I haven't known life to be any happier."

The 49-year-old actor recently opened up to Esquire magazine, admitting that pre-Angelina he was more of a "drifter."

“For a long time I thought I did too much damage — drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter," Pitt explains. "A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired."

“I spent years [bleep]ing off,” Pitt continued. “But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity.”

Then, “about a decade ago,” when he was still married to Aniston, he says he made a “conscious change” in his life.

“It was an epiphany — a decision not to squander my opportunities,” he explained. “It was a feeling of, ‘Get up.’ Because otherwise, what’s the point?”

Brad Pitt and Jennifer AnnistonPitt told Parade in 2011, “I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic ... I think my marriage [to Aniston] had something to do with it; trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”

Cue Angelina.

After getting together on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" in 2005, the couple have since had (or adopted) six children together.

"I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big. I wanted there to be chaos in the house," the actor says of his home life. "There's constant chatter in our house, whether it's giggling or screaming or crying or banging."

"I love it. I love it. I love it. I hate it when they're gone. I hate it. Maybe it's nice to be in a hotel room for a day - 'Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.' But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life."

Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie"I have very few friends," Pitt says of his life today. "I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven't known life to be any happier."

One of those friends is Jean Black, Pitt's makeup artist since 1990, who tells Esquire that Jolie was able to "unleash" the star's full potential.

Black told the magazine, "I think Brad was ready to soar when he met Angie."

Pitt, for his part, says simply, "Angie is ... the best person."

Another of Brangelina's pals, Frank Pollaro, told the magazine: "This is a guy who has tried not to do any sexy scenes with other women since he's met Angelina. He's crazy about her, and she's the same way about him."

He recalls a recent memory in their home: "Once I walked in and Angie was standing there and Zahara walked up and said, 'Daddy, you're not going to start making out with Mommy again, are you?' And it's like that."

Jennifer Aniston We're The Millers stripper

In order to get into fighting weight for her role as a stripper in the upcoming comedy "We're The Millers," Jennifer Aniston says she put herself on a strict diet.

"I was on a very like, greens and vegetables and lean proteins and kale,” she told "Access Hollywoodof what she ate while prepping to bare her body in the film, which co-stars Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts.

“But I did eat that day," says the 44-year-old actress of the scene in which she wears nothing but a bra and underwear.

But when Aniston needed a cheat day while prepping for the role, she didn't turn to baked goods or fried foods, instead she says she treated herself to a get this — kale chip.

“When I really wanted to have a cheat day. I had to have a kale chip,” she told "Access" at the movie’s junket last weekend.

And when she did finally strip down, Aniston made sure that her "kibbles and bits" were covered and secured.

"There was some major strapping and organizing," she admits. "I had no taping. I really just doubled my bras. I had a thong and then two pairs of underwear. Why I thought that was going to help protect anything is beyond me."

"We're The Millers" opens in theaters August 7. Watch Aniston's new moves in the trailer below.

This No-Makeup Photo Shows How Much Jennifer Aniston Has Been Photoshopped In Ads

Even the most naturally beautiful actresses undergo epic amounts of Photoshopping for ad campaigns.

When hairstylist Chris McMillan posted a photo of actress (and close friend) Jennifer Aniston sans makeup on Instagram, Jezebel quickly noticed how much the actress has been digitally altered, even in "natural" photoshoots.

The Instagram:

The Aveeno Ad:

Which is nothing compared to how she looked in a 2011 Allure cover shoot — in an issue that claims to reveal "the truth about natural skin care":

Note that the real Aniston, 44, has cute wrinkles, but the Aniston you see in ads and on magazine covers is wrinkle-free.

This isn't the worst Photoshop offense out there — Christy Turlington is essentially unrecognizable in her new Calvin Klein ads— but it does provide an interesting contrast.

Aniston looks incredible make up-free and while Aveeno's commercials claim to have "naturally beautiful results," it's still different from the actual, natural thing.

Jennifer Aniston's 7 Worst Box Office Bombs Since 'Friends'

$

wanderlust jennifer aniston

Around the time "Friends" ended its seven-season run in 2004, Jennifer Aniston was Hollywood's golden girl.

Her rom-com blockbusters "Along Came Polly" and "Bruce Almighty" performed well with critics and in theaters. The latter, headlined by Jim Carrey, raked in $484 million worldwide.

Then an unfortunate string of flops began — enough to earn Aniston the label "box office poison."

Her latest movie, "We're the Millers," about a group of misfits who pose as an all-American family to move a large shipment of marijuana into the U.S., may give Aniston's movie career the second wind it needs.

Co-starring Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, and Ed Helms, "We're the Millers" opened in theaters late Tuesday night and racked up $6.8 million so far. Despite less than thrilling reviews from critics, it's expected to gross between $35 and $38 million through the weekend.

Here are the misses that led up to Aniston's "We're the Millers" redemption.

7. "Derailed" (2005)

Worldwide Lifetime Gross:$57 million

Production Budget:$22 million

Gain: $35 million

Rotten Tomatoes score:20%

Aniston appeared alongside Clive Owen in this psychological thriller about a love affair gone wrong.

With a ludicrous plot and obvious twist, "'Derailed' is an uncomfortably appropriate title,"one critic wrote.

6. "The Switch" (2010)

Worldwide Lifetime Gross:$49 million

Production Budget:$19 million

Gain: $30 million

Rotten Tomatoes score:51%

Aniston plays a character with no husband or boyfriend, who's fighting the clock to have children. Jason Bateman co-stars.

To put into perspective how bad it was, a "Twilight" parody movie beat it at the box office.

5. "Love Happens" (2009)

Worldwide Lifetime Gross:$36 million

Production Budget:$18 million

Gain: $18 million

Rotten Tomatoes score:17%

'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' Was Made Into A Horrible 1990 TV Show

Ferris Bueller TV show

We’re still a few years away from being able to hop a quick flight into space (after our self-driving car parks itself in the terminal), but if you want to feel like you’re standing on another planet, you should watch the Ferris Bueller TV show.

Created for NBC’s lineup in 1990, it’s an odd pop cultural artifact that plays like a window into an alternative universe that somehow exists in our own without melting all physical laws into shoe-ruining mud. In it, Charlie Schlatter is Ferris Bueller, Jennifer Aniston is his pissy sister Jeannie, and Richard Riehle (before he became rich inventing the Jump To Conclusions Mat) is the stuffy Principal Ed Rooney.

The natural response is that these are impostors, that you’re somehow being tricked, and that instinctive mindset colors everything that the show does. It would probably be even stranger if the characters felt right while not looking right, but fortunately for everyone’s sanity, the show gets everything about continuing the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off story hilariously wrong.

It’s easy to imagine that this was a pure money grab on raw name recognition. After all, if a Ferris Bueller TV show were announced today, the entire internet would scream while pulling its eye-rolling muscles until embracing a fun program or deriding a bad/expected result. But we wouldn’t be surprised. We’d be resigned to it. That craven level of absent creativity is what we’ve come to anticipate, but this was 1990! A simpler time. Thus, it’s more likely that NBC wanted another Saved By the Bell and had an ace in the hole with name recognition on top (for, you know, a movie that was popular four years prior).

But if Zack Morris was the giant portable phone-wielding version of Ferris, 1990 also saw the launch of two other versions. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Parker Lewis Can’t Lose also hit television with a teenage swagger, featuring Ferris-style characters who could talk themselves in or out of any situation. All in all it was an amazing little moment for devil may care high schoolers.

That was unfortunate for the real fake Ferris, and since the show was both lame and unpopular, it died after a single season while Parker and Will lived on to different degrees of success. Both were updates on the 80s character, and they both turned out to be better Ferrises than the new Ferris. Oddly enough, Parker Lewis’ girlfriend is even named Sloan, and in a bit of pre-Community/Cougar Town crossover love, there’s an episode of Ferris called “Ferris Bueller Can’t Win.”

So what makes Ferris Bueller such a jarring experience? The bizarro world element is the biggest sin. Without a single returning actor from the movie, the show feels like a store clerk trying to sell you a dead parrot while absolutely refusing to acknowledge that it’s dead. Like how Tom Cruise must have felt in Vanilla Sky when Cameron Diaz kept insisting that she was Penelope Cruz. You keep watching, waiting for everyone to admit they’re lying about who they are, and compounding it further is Schlatter’s spot-on vocal impression of Ferris down to his rhythm and inflection. Meanwhile, Aniston (a few years from proving her chops with Friends) is a weak replacement for Jennifer Grey, reducing the role down with a single acting trick: huffing after every sentence.

Of course it also didn’t help the show’s goodwill that it opens with Schlatter’s Ferris attempting to erase Matthew Broderick’s Ferris from our minds by cutting his head off.

As ill-advised as it is, it’s not difficult to imagine that Executive Producer John Masius and the writers saw it as an earnest answer to the dilemma of creating an In Name Only show focused on a character made famous by the guy who won’t be playing him for you. If this were a book character, it would simply be another incarnation, but Broderick is Bueller, the only Bueller we know, so Masius and company had to choose between never mentioning the absence or inventing a clever way around it.

Their solution was definitely clever, but it was also headslappingly dumb and took the show into the next parallel universe over. We’re told up front that this is the real Ferris while the movie was actually made about the TV Ferris we’re just now being introduced to (the parrot just moved a little! See?). The TV Ferris is such a righteous dude that they made a movie about him starring a guy he thinks stunk up the joint.

Tone deafness is one thing, but badmouthing a character that is so beloved that you based a TV show on him yet couldn’t afford the original actor is next-level moronic. On the other hand, they did capitalize some on the movie’s existence in a few other ways — like using a genuine speech from Barbara Bush where she quotes Ferris about how fast life moves. It’s the kind of thing that would exist as a fantasy sequence in any other show, ADRed or CGIed to life, but here it’s a deft touch that goes at least an inch in mythologizing New Ferris.

That may have shot them in the foot, though, because we’re told this high school kid is cool enough to get a movie made after him, but all we get to see is stock sitcom silliness.

Even with the off-center feelings, the show still could have built an audience if it were funny and entertaining, or if it merely held true to the character. As you can guess, it doesn’t. Schlatter’s Ferris is less of a zen master in sunglasses and more of an outright asshole. The movie Ferris was always ahead of the curve, gliding through life with a portable escape hatch. The TV Ferris is frantic by comparison. In the second episode, Mr. Rooney proclaims at the last minute that Bueller won’t be eligible to run for student body president, and the baldfaced antagonism of a principal toward a student plays gratingly, like if Mr. Belding punched Zack in front of Kelly. Still, where the movie Ferris might use the moment to reveal (or lie through his teeth) that he’d secretly planned all along for the slight, the TV Ferris scrambles into the crowd, desperately begging for people to run in his stead. Very un-Bueller.

Ferris Bueller TV show openingThe entire show is a misappropriation of what made the movie so charming. To be fair, the line between incorrigible scamp and annoying jerk is paper thin, but the TV show lands on the wrong side of the cut. This Ferris is flappable.

And, yes, he wants to run for student body president for some reason.

Speaking of which, it’s more than a little strange to see Ferris in school. Call it a minor quibble, but after celebrating his ability to ditch class with impunity, watching a show that places him firmly inside the system that he didn’t care about is another cringe-producing element born from either not understanding the character, not being able to replicate him or not figuring out a way to keep a character famous for not being in school out of school.

This permeates the series. We get a glimpse of Ferris’ humanity near the end of the movie, but in the TV show, he’s constantly doing things for other people. In the fifth episode, he spends a ton of energy trying to create the “best birthday party” for Cameron; in the ninth episode he yells at his grandmother while trying to get new uniforms for the marching band; and in the seventh episode, Rooney essentially gets the best of Ferris the entire episode (and Jeannie makes out with Cameron).

Ferris Bueller is online thanks to some bizarre soul and a lack of copyright enforcement. As you could probably guess, John Hughes never signed off on the show or endorsed it in any way, but it’s still moderately cool that it exists (mostly because I was too young at the time to care). It’s a televisual platypus, and there’s even an overarching explanation for why this Ferris Bueller is so unlike Ferris Bueller: the TV version lives in California.

TGI Fridays Got Rid Of Flair Buttons Because Of 'Office Space'

$

Pieces of Flair, Office Space

Office Space didn’t explode in popularity when it was first released. In fact, analysts initially considered it a bit of a failure because of its low box office.

In the subsequent years, however, the film started getting recommended and passed around like an undiscovered gem until a really high percentage of the population had seen it. Now, it’s firmly entrenched as one of the more quoted and watched movies of the 1990s, and apparently, it had a lasting effect on the restaurant industry, as well.

You know those pieces of flair Jennifer Aniston repeatedly bitched about in Office Space? Well, they were based off the real life buttons many servers actually had to wear at the time at a number of chain restaurants including TGI Fridays. A few years after the film came out, however, the chain discontinued the use of flair. Why? Apparently because people wouldn’t stop making Office Space references about it.

Here’s a portion of what Office Space creator Mike Judge told Deadline…

"One of my ADs asked once at the restaurant why their flair was missing and they said they removed it because of that movie Office Space. So, maybe I made the world a better place."

We all owe Mike Judge a huge thank you because, I think, I speak for everyone when I say, flair was disgustingly ugly.

An overwhelming majority of movies come and go without having any lasting impact. Whether they’re good, bad or mediocre, people stop talking about them within a few years, and within a decade or so, they’re barely remembered at all. Fortunately, a lucky few of them stick with people. They offer something unique enough and memorable enough that we collectively decided to keep quoting and watching.

That’s the thing about Office Space. The technology might be out of date, but the way the characters interact and the nightmarish picture of mid-level management and bad bosses rings just as true now. The world is filled with Bill Lumberghs. There’s nothing Mike Judge can do to change that. Not even his hysterical new workplace comedy Silicon Valley can rid the world of shitty, passive aggressive bosses, but flair is certainly a good place to start.

Emirates has signed up Jennifer Aniston to front its latest global advertising push.

The airline says in a press release it has spent $20 million alone on securing global TV spots for the campaign, which was created by the ad agency RKCR/Y&R. It will also run on digital channels.

The ad sees the "Friends" star ridiculed by the cabin crew of an aircraft when she turns up wearing a dressing gown and asks where the shower is. The big reveal at the end is that it was a "nightmare," and she was actually aboard another aircraft, not an Emirates flight.

Boutros Boutros, Emirates divisional senior vice president of corporate communications, says in a statement: "In a departure from the usual airline industry ads, we chose to take a humorous approach to showcase the amazing products we offer on board. We couldn't think of anyone better suited for the role than Jennifer Aniston and we wrote the script with her in mind. Her professionalism and comedic talent shone on the set and we are very pleased with the outcome."

The commercial comes shortly after Emirates' rival Etihad Airways signed up actress Nicole Kidman to front its latest multimillion-dollar global advertising push.

Over the past decade, Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways have grown to become three of the world's best-regarded international airlines and have increased their presence in the US market.

But the three biggest US airlines — American, United, and Delta — say the explosive growth of the Middle East trio and their lavish spending are the result of billions of dollars of unfair subsidies. The US airlines have been campaigning for the federal government to do something about those subsidies, which they say let the three airlines encroach on their turf.

This new campaign from Emirates — which will run in the US and which shows off its lavish first-class private suites — marks yet another threat to the US' big three.

JENNIFER ANISTON: 'I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up'

Jennifer Aniston

After months of media speculation over Jennifer Aniston's appearance, the 47-year-old actress has broken her silence over the persistent pregnancy rumors.

Aniston, who does not have any form of social media and is usually shy to speak with press, wrote a revealing essay for Huffington Post addressing the gossip.

"I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up," Aniston writes. "I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of 'journalism,' the 'First Amendment' and 'celebrity news.'"

"The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty," she continued. "We use celebrity 'news' to perpetuate this dehumanizing view of females, focused solely on one’s physical appearance, which tabloids turn into a sporting event of speculation. Is she pregnant? Is she eating too much? Has she let herself go? Is her marriage on the rocks because the camera detects some physical 'imperfection'?"

Aniston says that "The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children."

She concludes:

Here’s where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Let’s make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. Let’s make that decision consciously, outside of the tabloid noise. We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own "happily ever after" for ourselves...

Yes, I may become a mother some day, and since I’m laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know.

Rarely one to open up to the press, Jennifer Aniston spilled all on Tuesday in a candid essay for the Huffington Post.

"I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up," wrote the 47-year-old actress about the persistent rumors. "I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of 'journalism,' the 'First Amendment' and 'celebrity news.'"

"We are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child," Aniston wrote. "We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone."

Aniston received an overwhelmingly positive response to her op-ed, but her biggest fan is her husband of almost one year, Justin Theroux.

Theroux posted on Instagram that Aniston is his "Woman Crush Wednesday" because of her brave essay.

He captioned the below photo: "#wcw  Here's just one reason why. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_57855586e4b03fc3ee4e626f #gogirl"

Jennifer Aniston had an emotional response to a question about self-doubt

A young fan brought Jennifer Aniston to tears after asking the actress about overcoming self-doubt.

Aniston was presented with a lifetime achievement award at the Giffoni Film Fest Saturday, and had a Q&A session with children and teens who were in attendance.

One young fan quietly asked the Golden Globe-winning actress if she woke up some mornings wondering about her identity.

"There are not enough fingers and toes in this entire room to count how many times that moment has happened to me,"she responded as she wiped her eyes, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "We're all human beings at the end of the day, whether we're a waitress or a baker or a student or whatever we are, at the end of the day you kind of hit walls and think I kind of can't go any farther. Or this is too much. My heart can't take it or the pain is too great, or am I good enough? Will I survive? And you just have to sort of somehow miraculously overcome. You just go, 'I can't, yes I can, yes you can.'"

She added that many celebrities have struggled with the same thoughts throughout their lives, because they are all human.

"There's nothing that separates us from you, because we all started at the same place," she said. "We all came out of nowhere. Don't punish yourself if you feel that. Go talk to people and seek help and always find something to inspire you."

The actress encouraged young writers to empower women and step away from social media every once in a while. She also discussed bullying and how people have to stand up for each other, in real life and online.

"And now with the Internet, [bullying' is endless, and it is a bunch of anonymous bullies that can sort of be stalking," she said. "We used to think that it was just in childhood that we would be bullied or made fun of. I was. I think many of us can say that we were. And it's the worst feeling in the world. And now that we are grown up, the internet is filled with them. And they're cowardly, and they're anonymous and they hide behind their computers, so it's about not allowing it to penetrate and have again, put your computers down and have conversations."

Aniston recently wrote a moving essay for the Huffington Post where she opened up about being "fed up" with false pregnancy rumors in tabloids.

"I am not pregnant. What I am is "fed up," Aniston wrote. "I'm fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of 'journalism,' the 'First Amendment' and 'celebrity news ... The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty."
